We Are Coming

SOG Scholarship Program

The SOG Scholarship Program, established within NuBeauty Within Ministries in April 2021, is a testament to our unwavering commitment to nurturing the academic aspirations of graduating senior mentees from Save Our Girls (SOG). This program offers a $500 Book Scholarship designed to provide essential support as these young women embark on their college journeys.

We firmly believe in the potential of our mentees, and the SOG Scholarship is a tangible way to empower them in their pursuit of higher education. To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must meet specific criteria, ensuring that the award is directed to those who have demonstrated both academic dedication and a commitment to community service.

Eligible candidates should have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.75, with the intention to enroll in college during the upcoming Fall immediately following their high school graduation. Acceptance to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) is a requirement, as we are proud supporters of these institutions. Furthermore, applicants must have dedicated at least 30 hours to community service within the year of their graduation, showcasing their commitment to giving back to their communities.

We understand the importance of mentorship and guidance, which is why we require two letters of recommendation: one from a volunteer coordinator, underscoring the applicant's dedication to community service, and two from teachers who can provide insights into their character and commitment.

The SOG Scholarship Program is not just a financial award; it's an investment in the bright futures of our mentees. It reflects our belief in their potential to thrive academically, engage with their communities, and make a positive impact in the world. With this scholarship, we support their educational endeavors as they prepare to make a difference in their own lives and in the lives of those they touch.
